The fourteenth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiered on Bravo on 1 May 2022. Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, and Drew Sidora, three of the five cast members from the previous season returned and longtime housewives, Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams announced their departures. Marlo Hampton got promoted to a full-time cast member. Original cast member, Shereé Whitfield also returned after her last appearance in the show’s tenth season and four-time Olympic gold medalist in track and field Sanya Richards-Ross also joined the cast as a Housewife. Another original cast member, Lisa Wu, promised to make guest appearances throughout the season, and last but not least is Monyetta Shaw-Carter. She is introduced as a “friend of the housewives” through her connection with Kandi Burruss.

Unlike her romance with Ne-Yo, Monyetta Shaw has not kept her now-relationship with Heath Carter on the low. In fact, it has been the opposite.
Monyetta has likely left everything out of the window especially since signing up for a reality show for the first time in 2014. And now, she continues raving about her and Heath’s stories. Their wedding was also very much out there with the bride showing off her Elite Pour La Vie wedding dress.
Before getting married around late in 2021, Heath had unexpectedly asked The Atlanta Exes star to marry him. It was June 2020 and Monyetta thought she was going for dinner with her cousin and friend to get a little break from everything. Heath had then surprised her with a “cute” engagement party. He had gone down on one knee in front of their close family and friends.
Then, there was a time when Monyetta told US Weekly that she knew Heath was “the one”.
Monyetta’s reportedly long-lasting romance with her now-husband follows a while after a rocky engagement with Ne-Yo, the beloved singer-songwriter.
The now-estranged couple started dating in 2009 and welcomed two children, a son named Mason and a daughter Madilyn. (The kids now go around as Mason and Madilyn Shaw-Smith.) But, two months before they were getting ready to get married, the “So Sick” singer called the wedding off. He had told Monyetta that he no longer wanted to be monogamous.
Talking to the NY Post later, Monyetta opened up that, at the time, the thought of him and her kids not living under the same roof was devastating.
But eventually, after Atlanta Exes, she also shouted out to the world that she had forgiven Ne-Yo in hopes of becoming better co-parents.
Anyway, like Monyetta Heath also brings a daughter from his previous relationship into their newly formed union.
