Meet Zachary & Damon Kimes Jr, Married to Medicine Star Heavenly Kimes Sons
Married to Medicine star Heavenly Kimes has two sons named Zachary & Damon Kimes Jr that she shares with her husband Damon Kimes. On her Instagram, she periodically shares pictures of them, and she always does it with affection. She shared a touching homage to her children in May 2023, along with the following caption: “I love being a mother! It’s my main purpose in life. If my kids are OK, the world is OK. Thank you, God, for these beautiful babies.”
In the meantime, Alaura is an adult by Season 10! She is not only going to college, but she also went to her prom! Despite the difficulties of living in one state up north with her daughter in Florida, Alaura is thinking about going to her mother’s alma university, FAMU.

On their 26th anniversary in August 2023, she added, “I’m so proud to be married to this man @drdamonkimes He is the kindest, most intelligent, well-spoken, the most educated. And a humble man I know. Happy 26th Wedding Anniversary! I remember times. When we were together we used to scrape up money to go to the movies or to dinner. We literally grew up together. He is the yen to my yang! We complement each other so well. The Bible says to find a wife is a good thing and for husbands to cleave to their wives.”
When asked why Heavenly always refers to her husband with the nickname “daddy” during a Bravo TV interview, she responded by saying, “I kind of called him daddy because my oldest boy and he had the same name. So when I would say ‘Damon,’ both of them would answer. So I don’t know how I got it, but I would say, the daddy. And then he just became the daddy. He’s always been a daddy.” According to Married Biography, Heavenly and Damon crossed paths for the first time as students at Meharry Medical College.
Heavenly was born on 17 November 1970. She continued her education at Florida A&M University, where she earned a B.S. in Chemistry and Military Science. Afterward, she attended Meharry Medical College, where she finished with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in the top 10% of her class.
Damon was born on 15 July 1970 and age 53. He works at Roswell Pain Specialists. Moreover, he studied Chemistry at Case Western Reserve University.
“We’ve been blessed, beyond blessed,” Dr. Heavenly gushed that she and her husband are two of them proud parents. “We’re doing something right. Gotta be.”

Heavenly Kimes’s oldest son is named Damon Kimes Jr. “If my son does what he needs to do, he can just take over and walk into something that’ll be a multimillion-dollar business,” she said. “So I’m really proud of him, and that will be his legacy, our legacy for him.”

Damon Jr., the eldest son of Dr. Heavenly and Damon, is following in his parents’ footsteps by aiming for a career in medicine. In an effort to pursue his dream of becoming an anesthesiologist, Damon Jr. transferred to Howard University and enrolled in the pre-med program. According to Dr. Heavenly, Damon Jr. will eventually take over his father’s surgical center.
In May 2016, Damon added, “I am such a proud mother!! Today my oldest son Damon Christian Kimes Jr @SheLovesDamon graduated from high school! He was accepted to tens of Universities! He will be attending Georgia State University !.”

Zachary promptly began the process of renovating the $435,000 investment property. Heavenly said, “Zachary’s renovating the house so we can rent it out as an Airbnb,” during the May 30 episode of Married to Medicine in 2021. Heavenly couldn’t help but notice some very familiar decor as Zachary showed her some of the improvements he had already done to the house (scroll down for before and after pictures of the living room).
“You got stuff from my house and put it up!” she exclaimed, later adding in an interview, “The one skillset that Zachary has not acquired as of yet is decorating skills.”
In a July 2020 Instagram post, Heavenly opened up about purchasing the investment property with Zachary.
“If I knew at 19 everything I know now! I’d be light years ahead!” she wrote. “Teaching my son how to flip properties early.”
“My baby boy Zachary is a go-getter. He’s in college right now. He’s a pre-med major and he’s intelligent, he’s well-spoken. Zachary took an interest in real estate at a young age because he saw me do it and he got his real estate license at 19, just this year,” she said. “I’m so proud of him.”
Zachary appears to be working in Georgia, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Metro Brokers.
