In a first look at the Season 9 premiere of Married to Medicine, Dr. Heavenly Kimes shared some recent developments in Alaura’s life as she is about to graduate from high school.
As Heavenly caught up with her daughter in the sneak peek of Season 9, she told her that they need to talk about Alaura’s work schedule, which involves putting in some hours at Dr. Heavenly’s beauty supply store, Heavenly Beauty.
In an interview in the July 10 (2022) episode, Heavenly shared that Alaura has been given a big role in the beauty store. Married to Medicine star was also happy that her daughter had a business she could go into.
Just days after getting new responsibility at the Heavenly store, Alaura Kimes had a hair change, on which her mother had a lot to talk about.
Posting a video on her Instagram on July 15, Heavenly showed her daughter in the styling chair getting a hair makeover while getting her tresses prepped. In the video, Dr. Heavenly asked the hairstylist why her daughter’s hair was orange and as the doctor came close to show Alaura’s latest look, she covered her hair with a towel.
At the end of the video, Alaura’s hairstylist promised it was going to look really good and thankfully, it seems like she was right. The next day, Heavenly shared a glowing photo of Alaura’s hair, and the fresh color perfectly suited her.
Who Is Alaura Kimes Father?
Alaura Kimes’ father is Dr. Damon Kimes. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University. Damon, later, pursued an M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) at Meharry Medical College.
Damon’s LinkedIn handle shows that he has been working as a CEO/President of Regatta Professional Staffing since 2011. Simultaneously, he has also been working as Chief Medical Officer at Roswell Pain Specialists/Roswell Pain Surgical Center. As a CMO, his responsibility includes International Pain Medicine Practice and Review of all Medical Protocol Changes and Updates.
Furthermore, Damon is also the owner of Regatta Records.
Alaura’s parents first met in the early 1990s while both of them were attending Meharry Medical College. As per Heavenly’s Facebook, the two tied the knot on August 16, 2013. When celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary, Heavenly took to Facebook on August 16, 2013, and shared that marrying Damon was one of the best decisions she ever made.
Besides her parents, Alaura Kimes also has two brothers, Zachary and Damon Jr., in her family. In an Instagram post on July 8, 2020, Heavenly shared that her middle child Zachary (currently 21 years old) got his realtor license amid his pre-med college studies. In 2020, Alaura’s elder brother Damon Kimes Jr. also graduated from college.

Shocked at her mom’s suggestion of 22 being a perfect age to begin dating, Alaura quickly turned the tables on her mom asking when she had her first boyfriend to which Heavenly replied that she had her first boyfriend at the age of 15.
In the same conversation, Alaura also suggested that 15 should be the perfect age for her to begin dating because she has to go to prom with someone. Dr. Heavenly then offered up Alaura’s older brother as a suggestion.
