Jan Mickelson Cause Of Death

Jan Mickelson’s death was announced on 30 July 2023 in a Facebook post made by his wife, Suzy. Suzy expressed gratitude to his fans for their well wishes but did not go into details as to what took her husband’s life.

Jan, who is now mourned by several Iowa Republican politicians and conservative fans, was admitted to a hospital on July 29th. A Facebook post made to his account by a loved one, detailed much of his medical condition leading up to his demise. According to this very FB post, Jan was taken to the hospital in critical condition with low pressure and failing kidney function. At the time this post was made, Jan was “still responsive” and was even getting some laughs out of the nursing staff. His death was reported shortly after.

Back in 2015, Jan was contended with a stroke, and that eventually led to his retirement. Claiming that the road to recovery has been expensive, he and his family even organized a fundraiser and collected $6736 of the $200K goal. Then, later in January 2018, Jan himself gave an update on his health saying. He seemed proud of having done one stem cell therapy. The process, as he explained had been done by removing fat, collecting stem cells, purifying, and infusing by IV.

Jan Mickelson’s wife is Susanne A Mickelson, AKA Suzy Mickelson. The two were aged 19 and 20 when they got married. They were seemingly inseparable ever since.

During the first summer, Jan married Suzy, they worked at Camp Wild Rose, in Wisconsin. One day, a camper came up to Suzy and said Jan had been hurt and she should go to him. She went out to the car, and there was blood running down Jan’s mouth. She pushed him over in the car saying she was taking him to the hospital. After a few seconds, Jan began to laugh hysterically, as well as all the campers. They had pranked her. Suzy recalled stories like these when telling Jan’s story of recovery and their struggles with his medical bills on the said go-fund-me page.

Per LinkedIn, Scott has been working as the owner and CEO of Gold Eagle IRA in Las Vegas, Nevada since August 2020. Before kickstarting his career, he studied Finance at the Iowa State University – Ivy College of Business.

It seems through it all and until the end, Jan’s wife and son were with him supporting and praying. “Mom and I, Jill, Alexander, and Evonelle are all asking for prayers of recovery and comfort and support. Any and all prayers help. Thank you so much”, this was Jan’s son writing on Jan’s FB wall on 30 July 2023. Here, by Jill, he meant his wife Jillaina. And Alexander and Evonelle are their kids.

In August 2010, when Alexander was born, Jan, the proud grandfather, had gushed on social media “New addition… Alexander Sterling Mickelson. Nickname “Thor” My grandson.” And later in February 2022, when Evonelle Mickelson, was born, Jan informed people that she has been named after his mother.
