The producers of 90 Day Fiance have come up with a not-so-typical food show, Me or the Menu, which sheds light on how difficult is to handle a relationship for couples while managing a restaurant. Me or the Menu, which premiered on June 30th, 2022, on Food Network and Discovery+, features four couples as they navigate the restaurant industry–some are well versed in the business while others are in it for the first time. Jeanette Zinno On Me Or The Menu
Jeanette Zinno and her fiance Randi Lee run the restaurant, Leland, together in Brooklyn, New York. Their day-to-day activities at the restaurant plus their personal life will be well documented in the Food Network show.
Taking to Instagram on May 27, Jeanette announced she and her fiance Randi would be starring in the food show, Me or the Menu. Sharing some snaps from the filming of the show, she wrote, “Super excited to announce that @randivin + I are coming to a TV screen near you!!! We filmed “Me or the Menu”, a show about us opening @lelandbrooklyn, which will air on @foodnetwork + @discoveryplus on June 30th!”
Jeanette’s fiance Randi started out as a bartender but fell in love with the restaurant business and with the support of his partner opened his own restaurant, Leland, 25 years later.
Despite not being familiar with the restaurant industry, Jeanette opened up about being the one who pushed Randi to open his own restaurant in a chat with Amny. “That was his dream, to open a bar and restaurant. so I told him, ‘This is your time, you should do it now.”
Jeanette invested $70 thousand of her money in Randi’s eatery, even though she had no interest in the food business.
The couple originally planned to open Leland in February 2020 and for the guests, they wanted to make it feel like they were walking into Randi and Jeanette’s house instead of a restaurant. Unfortunately. COVID-19 struck New York City and like other industries, the food industry was also hugely affected.
Jeanette and Randi opened Leland officially on December 10, 2020. From there, it took almost a year for them to fully build and fine-tune the restaurant.
Staffing proved to be a major issue once the restaurant was getting somewhat popular. Putting her career plans aside, Jeanette stepped in to fill all the required positions. She was the hostess, the dishwasher, and everything in the restaurant.
“Staffing was so hard, not only finding people but finding the right people,” Jeanette told.
Are Jeanette Zinno And Randi Lee Married Yet?
After putting in years of hard work and money, it seems like Jeanette is ready to step back from the restaurant business.
It seems like sacrificing her own dreams for her partner’s dreams is finally catching up to her as she told, “Even though you want to support your partner’s dream and do whatever it takes, at the same time, I have my own dreams. That’s definitely an area of frustration for me,” in an interview.
Jeanette is also a little worried over the fact that they have not planned their wedding yet since Randi is 24/7 working in the restaurant despite two years as an engaged couple.
The two reportedly know each other since 2008.
