He was the President of Gwinnett County NAACP when he died at the age of 49 after having an asthma attack at his Stone Mountain home. So, the Gwinnett branch of the NAACP later decided to set up a scholarship in remembrance of the man who helped reopen the branch.
The late John was married to JeJuan Stewart for more than 24 years. Later she shared how her deceased husband reactivated the Gwinnett NAACP branch after he retired as a regional director after working for Hyatt Hotels for more than 20 years.
So, other than his wife, John Senior is also survived by his four children, including his son of the same name as him. At the time of John, the dad’s passing a trust fund had been set up for all his children through Wachovia Bank.

And then, there is Jessica Irene Stewart, who turned 33 years old in February 2023. Meet Joshua Stewart, John Clarence Stewart’s Brother
John Clarence Stewart’s brother Joshua James Stewart is younger than him as he turned 31 years old in February 2023. John on the other hand turned 34 on 16 August 2022.
On Facebook, Joshua mentioned studying at Georgia State University (2013 – 2017) and Shiloh High School. All the other Stewart siblings also attended the same high school as him. On his social media, John also confirmed being single.
It is not yet confirmed, but Joshua maybe also associate himself with his parents’ foundation ‘John JeJuan Stewart Jr. Foundation Inc’.
