Meet Marianelly Agosto, John Mellencamp Girlfriend
The Jack & Diane singer John Mellencamp is reportedly dating his new love interest, Marianelly Agosto. The singer’s daughter Teddi Mellencamp reportedly played matchmaker for her dad. A source revealed to US Weekly that they were ‘on and off’ but rekindled their romance in late August.
However, their nearly three-decade age difference has sparked concern it could become a problem. The source added, ‘She is much younger, 27 years his junior.’ Marianelly isn’t the only woman Teddi has introduced her father to.
John was previously in a relationship with Natasha Barret, a realtor who specialized in working with celebrities. They also met through Mellencamp’s daughter Teddi.
In November 2022, Teddi shared an Instagram photo as she posed with her dad and Agosto at the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. Mellencamp, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008, gave a speech to introduce his longtime attorney Allen Grubman in recognition of his long career in the music industry, according to Variety.
John and Mariakelly were also recently spotted holding hands at the Jazz at Lincoln Center event in New York City, per Hollywood Life.
In 2020, John was linked to celebrity skin care specialist Jamie Sue Sherrill, known as Nurse Jamie, professionally. They were first reported to be a couple in April but split in January 2021. In that relationship, Teddi played as a matchmaker for her dad.
John previously dated Meg Ryan but ended their engagement because he reportedly ‘didn’t want to get married again’. They split in 2019 and it was claimed their romance came to an end after John realized he didn’t want to tie the knot again, as he’s already been married three times.
A source told People magazine at the time: ‘He didn’t want to get married again. He loves her, but the marriage never seemed to be a part of it. It’s unclear how important marriage was to Meg. ‘But they spent a lot of time together and it’s too bad they split. They really got along so well together.’
John and Meg had been together on and off for eight years, with a brief split in 2014 when the musician dated Christie Brinkley. They reconciled and got engaged back in November 2018 before calling it quits in November 2019.

He was a 2004 beach volleyball Olympian and standout indoor collegiate and professional beach volleyball player, began his coaching career in 1999-2001, where he served as the head men’s coach at American University in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He piloted American University to a runner-up finishes in the Puerto Rican National Championship match.
Raul, a native of Caguas, Puerto Rico, competed in indoor volleyball for Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne (IPFW) while earning his degree in supervision. His IPFW team made back-to-back appearances in the Final Four (1991, 1992) as it captured the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) title in 1992.
He was an integral part of the success at IPFW as he was named NCAA All-American (1992, 1993), 1992 MIVA Player of the Year, the school’s 1993 Athlete of the Year, and now has a spot in the IPFW Hall of Fame. On February 10, 2017, Indiana University-Purdue University at Fort Wayne retired Papaleo’s number nine jersey.
