Meet Julian Valentine, who once left fans blown away by his “rollercoaster” weight loss journey in Season 10 of My 600-lb Life. Almost two years after he became one of the contestants on the TLC show, we are here to tell you what he has been up to and more.

Until February 2023, Julian Valentine had been out of his season of My 600-lb Life for more than 18 months. And so, he took to a moment to reflect on his TV journey. “It’s crazy how a year goes by so fast”, he wrote alongside a photo of him posted by TLC during his time on the show.
In many seasons of My 600-lb Life, viewers have been attached to a new group of contestants. Julian Valentine’s narrative, fans believe, was one of the most convincing. He lost an impressive amount of weight only to regain it shortly after, while still on the show.

Julian Valentine has been very private even on social media. Yet, it sure has allowed his fans to check up on how he has been doing. And he seemed to be doing pretty well.
As of the time of this writing, Julian looked very different from the original him in the 600 lbs show. In a picture, he posted on social media in January 2023, his impressive weight loss was obvious. And it seemed, he is not already done shedding the pounds.
Late in 2022, Julian even appealed to his followers on social media to join him in starting an early morning workout group, citing the need to keep himself accountable as his reason for asking.
Later at the beginning of 2023, Julian also took to his FB to announce the sad passing of his father. He asked his friends and fans with a heavy heart to donate funds to help his family cover the funeral costs. At the time, Julian also revealed that before he passed away they were together on a weight loss journey. Also, around the same time they had gotten their weight loss surgery.
Julian Valentine Weight Loss Secret
When Julian Valentine appeared on the TLC series My 600-lb Life for S10E01, he weighed around 830 pounds. Because of his size, his wife even had to help him with most of his daily activities. To the extent that the family feared his life was in danger due to his weight.
Dr. Now thus was seen putting Julian on a customized weight loss program. But, he barely lost any weight during the first two months. Three months later though he was able to lose over 136 pounds. Yet again, Julian ended up gaining almost all of his lost weight back.
Julian, and his wife, were then seen organizing a diet and exercise plan together. As a result, he was able to lose enough weight for Dr. Now to authorize him for surgery.

Yes. Julian Valentine indeed is married. He has been married to his doting wife Irma Valentine, AKA Alejandra Valentine, since 29 March 2013.
Julian narrated his love story with Irma in the TLC show. He explained how he never dreamt of having a wife or falling in love because of his size. And then he met his wife Irma of South Tucson, Arizona and it was love at first sight for him. In 600 Lb-Life, Irma also gushed about how it was the same for her. She candidly described how she was head over heels in love with him the minute she saw him. But, she said, she did not tell him anything as she did not want to come off as a creepy person. Soon, anyway, they began dating, and Julian described their marriage as the best thing to ever happen to him.
The couple couldn’t have a big wedding like they wanted to but had a small intimate wedding.
To the cameras on 600 Lb, Irma also shared that despite wanting to grow old together with Julian, his steady weight gain over the years has her fear that she might lose him due to health issues arising from his weight. Also, she opened up about being scared that if he loses weight he might leave her for somebody else.
As “Mrs. Valentine” Julian could be found on IG @mrs_valentine13 where she wrote, “Be humble but also don’t take no shit from anyone”. Also, on LinkedIn, she mentioned having seven years of customer service experience, working as an interpreter for Spanish-speaking people, as well as working at health insurance companies.

On his Facebook profile, Julian Valentine mentioned working at Majorel USA in Southwest Houston, Texas since 28 June 2022.
Back in the day, he studied Electrician Apprenticeship at job corps in the Class of 2011. And before that, he graduated from Peoria High School in 2007.
For his time on the TLC show, Julian is believed to have been paid a flat rate called a talent fee of $1,500 to appear. In addition, his medical bills for a year, including costs for surgeries, doctor’s appointments, and follow-up hospital stays, were also reportedly taken care of.
