Upon wrapping Season 1 in May 2022, Michel appreciated the efforts of his team members. He called Kai and the two others “easily 3 of my fav humans”. He thanked them for being the best on and off-screen partners ever.
Michel apparently has known Kai and the others throughout his career. So, he invited them personally to be a part of his team in Luxe For Less.
As for Kai only, we saw her assist Michel in the new series as he repurposes furniture, finds easily repairable scratch and dent appliances and applies “savvy” shopping techniques to bring upscale and luxe design within reach.

In 2016, her company Kaistyled was just over a year old. She said she learned so much about the industry that year. She had just completed a full restoration/remodel in Berkeley and that project was her entire portfolio. But with that, she went from one project to four, with no team, just her. Sydney joined as her first senior designer later that year. She “believed” in her purpose and “worked hard as hell” to understand the science of interior design. Fast forward to today, she continues to be the principal and creative director of her very own company Studio 7 Design Group.
Studio 7 Design Group, from what’s been written on its website, is a full-service interior design firm specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects. This firm claims to provide its clients with innovative, dynamic, and functional design solutions that represent livable luxury.
Kai’s client roster comprises commercial and residential sites in Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, New York Area, Alabama, and Miami. She and her team have also created interiors for comedian/actor Kevin Hart’s quick service restaurant Hart House located in Monrovia, Liberia. As of 2022, Kai was also said to be in the process of working on Kevin’s other upcoming restaurants.
