ABC’s Claim to Fame season 2 premiered on June 26, 2023, and just like its inaugural season, 12 contestants — each of whom had a famous relative — moved into a house together to try and discern which celebrities the other participants were related to. Obviously, the goal was to keep their own celebrity relationship a secret whilst sharing two truths and a lie about them.
For her part, Karsyn Elledge claimed that her celebrity relative was her uncle, a well-known musician who was inducted into the Hall of Fame. She didn’t say which Hall of Fame, though. So, many guessed she was Blake Shelton‘s niece.
However, in the talent round, she sang “Amazing Grace,” which definitely wasn’t the best. Meaning, she might not have inherited the family talent or just might not be related to the country singer at all!
For those who missed the premiere episode, each contestant was introduced to a clue wall, which was filled with items such as a green bench, a bee, a mask, a rhino, and an astronaut. They were then given their first challenge to showcase their talent, where it soon became clear that only some of them had also inherited their famous family member’s talent.
Her co-star, Travis Tyson won this round and was therefore protected at the Guess-Off and given an extra clue.
On the other hand, Hugo and JR came in last place, and Hugo was elected the season’s first Guesser. At the Guess-Off, Hugo then chose to target Carly and correctly guessed that she is Tom Hanks’s niece. Thus, Carly bid a tearful goodbye to the rest of the contestants.

Karsyn Elledge is the niece of Dale Earnhardt Jr, the American professional stock car racing driver.
This means that Karsyn lied about her uncle being in the music industry. On the contrary, she did tell the truth about him being in the Hall of Fame — Dale has been honored with the Texas Motorsports Hall of Fame (2017) and the NASCAR Hall of Fame (2022).

Jason owns two USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car Series triumphs and a pair of USAC NOS Energy Midget Series victories. He is also a multi-time winner at the famed Tulsa Shootout run annually in Oklahoma.
But to Karsyn, he is “my snowboarding buddy, adventure partner, best friend, and very large pain in my ass.”
