Kayla Giddings On Netflix’s Is It Cake, Too? Season 2
Hosted by SNL’s Mikey Day, the 2nd season of Is It Cake, Too? sees 10 contestants compete against each other for their share of a $120,000 prize pool.
Ahead of the series premiere, Kayla took to Instagram to share the promotional video of the show and wrote, “This cast of AMAZING cake decorators are getting ready for the premiere of “Is It Cake, Too?” TOMORROW!!! 😍 how are you going to watch your fave new cake show?!… .”
As per Netflix, Kayla has been baking and making cakes since she was 19. In her interview with theadvocate.com, Kayla revealed that she was contacted at first asking if she had any interest in being on the show, and of course she was.
Kayla then had to go through the application process to experience the wildest ride, that is “Is It Cake, Too?”
Before Kayla appeared on Is It Cake, Too?, she was part of five Food Network contests at different points in time. The names of the TV competition Kayla was part of are Chocolate Meltdown: Hershey’s After Dark, Cake Wars, Cake Masters, Santa’s Baking Blizzard, and Food Network Challenge. She won four of them except Santa’s Baking Blizzard.
Kayla Giddings Job
Kayla has been making cakes since she was 19 years old. She shared in an interview that first started by making baby shower cakes and birthday cakes. Although the cakes turned out really lumpy and bumpy at first, she bettered herself by watching YouTube videos.
In case you did not know, Kayla was a schoolteacher at Judice Middle School, where she taught sixth-grade science. She also taught 9th-12th English and Speech at Acadiana High for four years. Netflix star resigned to focus more on her baking career.
Kayla’s first-ever baking competition happened in 2014 in Austin, Texas. She came 3rd in the showpiece category. After that, Kayla applied to be on Cake Wars in 2017. To her surprise, she not only made it into the show but also won with her partner.
Following the win on Cake Wars, Kayla appeared on four other cooking shows, namely Cake Wars Champs, Food Network Challenge, Santa’s Baking Blizzard, and Hershey’s Chocolate Meltdown, winning three of them.
At the time of this writing, Kayla was also running her own cake business called Cheers to Cake, previously known as Living My Cake Life.
As Kayla shared with The Advertiser, her first job came at the age of 16 and it was a work at the Buckle in Acadiana Mall. She also revealed that she wanted to be a plastic surgeon growing up.

Kayla Giddings is married to Adam Giddings, who turned 39 years old in February 2023. Kayla’s last name before the marriage was LaCombe.
Kayla and Adam married on December 31st, 2022. The two reportedly met at the Tap Room. Kayla had asked Adam to be a guest speaker in her high school English class.
The lovely married couple has a 10-year-old daughter, Kynlee Trahan, to raise. Kynlee studies in 5th grade at West Minister Christian Academy. She is a cheerleader there and is also involved in dancing and soccer.

He practices Medicine at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center and 4 other affiliated hospitals.
