Sadly, after season 12, he only made only one appearance in Season 13 of the Discovery show. For that season, Ken’s adversary, Shawn, was the new captain of the Myrtle Irene, and fans had some interesting theories as to why he left the show.
But Ken confessed that he wanted to focus on beach mining for the time being — which obviously wasn’t a satisfactory answer since he was such a major part of prior seasons. Plus, if he really was leaving the show, wouldn’t he or the producers put out an official statement instead?
Now, coming to fan theories, the most interesting one said that the producers no longer wanted him on the show due to the lawsuit (that we discussed above). Also, another theory stated that because of the incident with the cable, Ken lost his credibility as the Gold King. So, he was fired!

This reality star is the owner of the famous Myrtle Irene dredge, a 600-ton dredging machine. Also, as per some reports, he owned about 380 patented mining claims and had 900 acres on lease.
His dredge i.e. the 120-foot Myrtle Irene was currently the largest in Nome, Alaska and their inland mine is currently one of the grandest in the country. (It was said, Shawn Pomrenke was taking over Myrtle Irene.)
Besides that, Ken also famously built up the Arctic Sea and Arctic Gold Mining companies with his business partner David (Dave) Young. These two massive mining corporations were mining operations on the sea and land, respectively.
Prior to being named Arctic Gold Mining, the company was known as Nome Gold Alaska. After the name change/sale, land holdings, and all of Nome Gold Alaska equipment were also transferred to Arctic Gold Mining. And then, Ken and David became two of the five new principal owners of the trade.
Furthermore, Ken was also listed as the owner of Windriver Holdings (now defunct) and Ken Kerr Automotive Equipment Ltd.
