Kim Chun-ri On Netflix’s Physical 100
Game show lovers, grab your popcorn! Netflix’s Physical 100 is here, sending out The Squid Game (the show or the series) vibes, and bringing in 100 contestants, including Kim Chun-ri, from various ethnicities, ages, and gender to compete against each other and prove their physical strength. But the players aren’t only competing for the title of “most perfect physique,” but also the stunning winning money of 300 million won (approx USD 243 thousand).
“Fight to the death. Survive to the end.” These were the words that appeared in the show’s trailer. The contestants competed to survive purely with their physical strength.
In the first ep, Kim and other contestants were placed in a massive space where plaster casts of their torsos sat on marble pedestals, arranged in concentric circles around a fountain. They then walked around, admiring each other’s plaster/actual bodies, objectifying and judging each other.
Later, for the first challenge, the contestants then hung onto a suspended apparatus lifted in the air. Through this, the participants quickly realized that the show was not only a test of brute strength but also endurance and mental strength. Finally, based on how long they lasted, the players were then placed in order from 100 to 1, and in order, they got to choose who they’ll face in the first quest — a fight over a ball.
Overall, 50 matches took place in the same two arenas, just like The Challenge. Yet Physical 100 stood apart from other gaming shows staging these in much more interesting ways and with a massive cast.
Before the show premiered on January 24, 2023, Kim took to her IG to share a promo clip, captioned, “Currently #1 on Netflix #Physical100 Next Tuesday at 5:00 PM Episodes 3-4 start. The hot physical 100 1v1 deathmatch these days.”

According to Kim’s gym profile, she’s “different from just having a lot of muscles.” They explained her to be kind and someone who always listens to the details. “Among those who exercise, those who do not change their body. Those who want to grow more muscles. Anyone who wants to exercise with Chun-Li. You can always knock on the door with Rambo Jim,” they added.
Overall, Kim’s an outstanding bodybuilder respected by everyone, regardless of their gender. And it’s not only because of her ripped body but also because of the multiple titles under her belt. She’s won the 2013 MizGyeonggi Bodybuilding Grand Prix, 2014 NABBA/WFF Korea Figure Grand Prix, 2014 WBC Bodybuilding Grand Prix, 2014 WFF Universe World Championship Athletic Figure, 2014 WFF Australia World Championship (Figure World Champion), 2015 Muscle Mania Bodybuilding Grand Prix, 2016 NABBA Train Figure (1st Place), 2018 PCA Asia Championship Athletic (Figure Asia Champion), and 2019 PCA World Championship Women Bodybuilding (World Champion).
Thanks to her popularity, Kim also was asked to be an ambassador for New Habit, a guide brand of healthy food.
