In her recent interview with viewties.co.uk, Kristen talked about auditioning to get the role of Wen and what she had to do to play it as genuinely as possible. She opened up about how she had taped an audition, and had a few callbacks with Mr. Night on Zoom, before landing the role. “It was so exciting”, she chimed.
When asked what was it that helped her in becoming this character, she answered that she did it by pretending to be in the cabin knowing that every move she made could make a difference in the setting.
All in all, young Kristen really had a great time working with “such great actors”. She said everyone including Mr. Night, Ben, and Jonathan, really took care of her on set.
After the filming wrapped in June 2022, there have been a few advanced screenings of the film, where though wrestler-turned-actor Dave’s performance received the majority of praise, Kristen’s portrayal of Wen has also been praised. They say she has done an incredible job.
