The first one was a couple who spent their life savings to buy an abandoned 1860s farmhouse in Richmond, Michigan; the second one, a father-daughter duo who need to finish a fixer-upper in just 90 days in Detroit; and lastly a young couple in Birmingham, Alabama, who face expensive setbacks as they renovate a century-old home.
The featured duos were the Richmond homeowners, Sean Kilgore and Sam Sutton, the Detroit father-daughter duo, Pancho and Kristyn Patterson, and the Birmingham couple, Brandon and Lesleigh Vann Waugh.
Through a post, HGTV revealed that cameras are set up in such a way that they can track the progression of each renovation. This will ultimately reveal if these homeowners can finish the job or not.
The cast has been hyping up the new house flipper show on Instagram for a long time. Ahead of the show’s premiere, Kristyn Patterson shared a sneak peek of the show on her Instagram on April 20th and revealed how excited she is for people to watch the journey of her first flip. In the clip Kristyn shared, her dad, Pancho Patterson, is stunned after she reveals that she paid $52 thousand for her particular dump. “Have you lost your mind?” Pancho tells Kristyn.
Furthermore, Kristyn tells Pancho that the rundown house will be her home. Giving his daughter tough love, “Your dreams can’t come true sometimes,” Pancho tells her.
