What happened? Well, from the moment Lara first met Richie, she seemed unimpressed with her groom who was still living at home with his parents. Also, another red flag appeared when Lara asked Richie if it was “worrying” to him that she has kids. To which, he then replied “No, not at all. No,” only later to admit to the camera, “I won’t fool myself to say that’s an easy thing to hear. It’s quite a big thing.”
Furthermore, there was this look on Lara’s face (on the very first ep) as Richie clung to her in an awkward hug. It was the look many described as “terrified” by the way Richie idealized their marriage.
