Late AGT star Nolan Neal Seals grew up in a household filled with musicians. Both of his parents were musicians, and also his cousins. According to PEOPLE, his cousin Dylan Seals confirmed his death to the outlet. According to the outlet, Nolan “ultimately succumbed to his battle with substance abuse”.

Meet Late AGT Star Nolan Neal Parents
Nolan Neal Seals from AGT was born to his father Mark Daniel Seals AKA Welby and mother Cathy Lee.
Speaking about Nolan’s parents, his father Mark was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elizabethton. He was a musician who played with several bands as a drummer.
Moreover, Mark had played back-up for Kenny Rogers, Lynn Anderson, and George Jones in concerts and was a studio musician in Nashville. Mark was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He served with the U. S. Army in Korea during the Vietnam Conflict.
Whereas Nolan’s mother, Cathy was also a singer and played in a band. Though she doesn’t play music anymore, she still dedicates her life to art working as a faux artist/painter. As for her day job, she has been retired since October 2017.
Nolan has talked about his father through music. He wrote a song Hand In Hand addressing his father’s death by suicide. Born on 15 October 1952, Nolan’s father Mark died on 26 September 2005 at the age of 52 in UT Hospital, Knoxville, TN. He was the son of Margaret (Peggy) Daniels Seals, Morristown, and the late Robert Neal Seals.
At the time of his death, Mark was married to his wife Angela Shockley Seals.
Nolan’s mother Cathy turned 65 years old in September 2021. Her parents Catherine and Wayne Lee met on a blind date, got married one month later, and made it 61 years until her dad passed away in January 2017.
On Mother’s Day 2017, Nolan wrote to his mom on Facebook, “Just want you to know I love you. You’re an amazing Woman. Thank you, Mom, for all you’ve done for me, Caylin, Adrienne, Cadence, Mamaw Lee and so many other souls in this world who were blessed to receive your selfless love”.

According to his Facebook, Nolan Neal was single at the time of his passing. He was in a relationship a few times because, at the time of his death, he left behind two children; Caylin Wood Seals and Cadence Seals.
Based on Cathy’s Facebook posts, Caylin has certainly inherited music from her father Nolan. Caylin appears to know how to play guitar and has also performed alongside her father on stage. The father and daughter were also writing music together and performed together in 2017. The first time they performed together, they sang the song Empty.
Nolan had his daughter with his baby-mother April. They had a rough relationship and April allegedly tried to cause problems between Nolan and Caylin.
In one comment, Cathy wrote, “When Caylin was little, they lived walking distance from Mark and he never got to see his granddaughter! He bought her Christmas gifts and never got to give them to her!!! April would come to his home and ask for money and leave the kids in the car… I could go on and on….”
In July 2022, Caylin is 23 years old. She now has a 2 and half-year-old son named Asher.
Nolan’s son Cadence turned 14 years old on 9 September 2021. Nolan had him with his ex-partner Theresa Robertson Riley.
