Lauren Pounds and Nathan Ruggles have been dating since 2018. Lauren has been dating him since November 17th of that year, according to her Facebook page. Nathan proposed to his lady-love on March 27, 2021, after two and a half years of dating. She also said yes to the proposition.
Lauren’s refusal to have children, though, brought their relationship to a halt. Nathan mentioned that he was really front about his wish to start a family with a wife and children. He also stated that he couldn’t wait to become a parent, emphasizing the necessity of having children. When Nate proposed to Lauren, she stated that she did not want any children, prompting him to question his decision.
Nathan couldn’t wait any longer for marriage, so he issued an ultimatum to his girlfriend: accept his proposal or leave forever. He and Lauren seemed thrilled about the project at first. Nate claimed during the first week of the show that he was willing to settle down with any woman who was keen to start a family with him, and he began warming up to a few others. Madlyn Ballatori and April Marie, in particular, grabbed his interest, and both seemed to respond positively to Nate’s approaches.
Nathan began to see the advantages of the experiment as he began to open up to new people, and he anticipated an educational eight weeks. Lauren, on the other hand, developed a friendship with Madlyn’s partner, Colby Kiss, and soon began confiding in him.
Lauren expressed her displeasure with Nathan’s frequent travels, and Colby helped her face her fears about having children. She surprised herself by comprehending the need for mutual understanding when Colby asked if she wanted to have children with him. She seemed eager to give serious thought to her fears regarding children.
April and Madlyn both chose other people over Nathan when it came time to choose potential spouses, which startled him. After Colby chose Lauren as his partner, Nate realized how difficult it would be to see his sweetheart live with someone else. As a result, he got down on one knee and proposed to Lauren in an unexpected turn of events, which she gladly accepted.

Nathan told Lauren that he was ready to marry her as she is when he proposed. He confessed that his desire to have children had blinded him to their love and pledged to be by her side regardless of her decision to have children in the future. Lauren proposed couples therapy to help them find common ground, but Nate was too sure of his love and refused to let anyone else into his relationship.
Nathan had a connection with Paige Springfield before Lauren. Since April 2012, they’ve been in a relationship. Paige attended New Braunfels High School and presently resides in New Braunfels, Texas, according to her Facebook page. They dated for at least a year, till October of 2016.
However, the issue remains as to whether or not Nathan and Lauren are still together.
Lauren and Nathan appear to have broken up and are leading separate lives. While Nathan appeared to be ready to let go of his long-held aspirations, the process seemed too overwhelming, especially because the two hadn’t been seen on each other’s social media in a long time.
