Larry Caputo Jr. has married his longtime girlfriend Leah Munch. They were in a relationship since they both attended undergraduate school at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. The couple married in Lake Como, Italy on Saturday, June 10—the same day as Theresa’s 56th birthday.
“And this HAPPENED,” Teresa wrote on Instagram on June 15 alongside a photo of her and the newlyweds. “We are over the moon excited for Larry and Leah on their wedding.”
“It was so emotional,” Theresa shared about the wedding day with PEOPLE. “He’s my son. And I think because of what I do, I see that a lot of people don’t have family, and Larry and Leah, they wanted it to be all about family. To watch it happen and unfold was just absolutely incredible. Wow.”
Before their wedding at Villa Pizzo, the couple began their three-day celebration with a welcome meal. The bride and groom read individual vows during the private ceremony, and Larry delivered him in Italian. It was breathtaking. The author, who wore a silver floor-length sequin gown by Galvan London and heels by Mach & Mach, claims that the entire weekend was “literally magical.”
The nuptials were intimate and emotional, according to Theresa, who was moved by the ceremony. “He’s my son,” she continued. “And I think because of what I do, I see that a lot of people don’t have family, and Larry and Leah, they wanted it to be all about family. The bride came down the aisle wearing an Oscar de la Renta gown as a string quartet played. Following the wedding, guests entered for cocktail hour and enjoyed served appetizers before sitting down to a set supper of pasta dishes and grilled fish. Gelato, cannoli, and a “massive” wedding cake were presented as desserts. It was simply enormous, she claims. The joyful event meant the world to Theresa.
“Larry and Leah have been together for 14 years since their freshman year of college,” Theresa explained to the outlet. “And to see them finally be, at this point, where they want to get married, they want to start a family. Every parent’s dream is to see their children be happy, and to find that person that they want to spend the rest of their life with.”
At the wedding, Larry also gave a beautiful speech honoring Theresa while surprising her with a cake.
