Meet Louise Moore, The Great Cookbook Challenge Judge
Louise Moore was super excited about appearing on The Great Cookbook Challenge as a judge. Commenting on this stint, she revealed how she has been crafting cookbooks for more than 20 years. As a result, she said, she knows the dedication, skill, and intuition it takes to create recipes people want to buy and try at home.
She also gave her listeners the picture that breaking into publishing is incredibly difficult. Louise speaks about how it has been an impossible dream for so many amazing cooks out there. “So I am just so excited to get out there and discover incredible new talent, new perspectives, and new approaches to cooking and food. We know the talent is out there and I’m thrilled to be able to help them fulfill their potential.”
Outside of real work, during the first episode of The Great Challenge with Jamie Oliver, Louise also revealed that she used to be a vegetarian. Although she now eats meat.
When Louise was served a rabbit ragu by contestant Katie, the judge said, “I don’t think I can do that” and asked how someone like her would be converted to eat rabbit. But though she did not taste the dish she did compliment Katie for her great concept.

As part of the job, Louise works with a talented publishing team dedicated to delivering the best fiction and non-fiction titles. Together, they also claim to produce the widest possible variety of voices that speak to – and for – everyone, welcoming all readers in.
