Georgina Hayden is one of the judges on Channel 4’s cooking competition “The Great Cookbook Challenge with Jamie Oliver”.
The show features Jamie Oliver who is best known for creating cookbooks which he started in 1999. Other judges include award-winning British Journalist and food critic Jimi Famurewa. Also, Louise Moore, managing director of Penguin Michael Joseph who had attended the University of Cambridge is the head judge of the show.
In January 2022, Jamie had announced her role as a judge on the show. In the show, the one lucky person who all three judges vouch for wins a cookbook deal. She wrote, “I’ve got so much to say about what was an amazing experience this was but for now: it starts on Monday 31st January. 8 pm on @channel4.”

Georgina discovered her passion for cooking growing up in her grandparents’ Greek Cypriot taverna in Tufnell Park. The recipes were passed down to her. She followed it all through her year in university. Her passion landed her a job as a food writer and stylist working on various food magazines.
After that, she worked for Jamie Oliver’s food team for 12 years which helped her gain more attention. While working there she wrote, developed, and styled for magazine features, books, television projects, and campaigns. Born to hardworking immigrant parents, Georgina Hayden and her family has Cypriot background. In May 2019, she shared a picture that was taken in her great-grandparents’ house. The snap featured her two great aunts and aunt & uncle who are still living in Cyprus. She shared her plans about visiting them on the weekend that followed.
For Georgina, her favorite place in Cyprus is her house in Phini because of the fantastic view over the Troodos mountains, and in Spring the smell of roses and almond trees. While interviewing Anna Jones, she spoke of the kitchen disaster when she was only 7.
She wanted to surprise her mother and sister with cornflake cakes like her mother used to. One thing led to another and there was a fire alarm going off or just the smell of burning plastic. Her mother managed to stop her from setting the kitchen on fire.
