Love In The Jungle premiered on Discovery Plus on May 8, 2022, and consists of a young cast who adopt animal mating rituals to seduce other contestants. Contestants rely on body language instead of verbal exchange for communication,
Upon their entry on the show, the contestants of Love In The Jungle are asked to choose an animal that they feel best resembles their personality and then participate in mating rituals pulled from the animal kingdom to attract other contestants.
As per the teaser trailer, a contestant named Sal chose an otter to represent him. He said, “My inner animal is an otter because they are super playful,” he said. I’m trying to eat.” One of the other contestants named Dishon chose Ducks to represent him.
As the trailer suggests, the idea of the show worked pretty well for the contestants.
“It was weird, but it was very sexy and weird. I think this is a new fetish for me,” a Love In The Jungle contestant said. Another contestant added, “I guess mating rituals work because I’ve never been so attracted to Stephan before.”
In an interview with Popculture.com, Lynsey Fuller revealed that it only took 20 minutes for the cast to get used to their animal ways of communicating with each other. She added that the unconventional dating experience in Love In The Jungle was more effective for her than modern dating. She joked saying: “Ditch the dating apps. … Ditch the phones, go to the jungle spend a month together and you’ll definitely walk out married.”
Filmed on a private eco-reserve in Colombia, there will be more experiments in the show than we know about.
