Sadly though, Mara’s mother continued to be in treatment for breast cancer at the time of this writing. In Mara’s words, the matriarch is the “strongest” woman she knows and the one who holds their family together. Mara also often gushes that her mom has been there at every step of her development.
A while ago, Linda was diagnosed with an early stage of breast cancer. Yet, they say she manages to do everything she can to be present with her kids while facing surgery, radiation, and/or chemo. She especially wants to get through her breast cancer journey quickly to not miss any of Mara’s musical journey.
Every year on Linda’s birthday (March 7th), her family makes her feel special calling her their “hero”, “best friend in the whole wide world” and more.

Lately, in The Voice season 24 premiere, Mara ended up choosing Niall Horan as her coach, and over the course, she continued to showcase her amazing vocals with her performances of Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” Florence + The Machine’s “You’ve Got the Love,” and more. For her “Top 9” live performance, Mara sang a beautiful rendition of “Parachute” by Chris Stapleton.
