Mark reportedly helped him commit fraud before tipping off cops after their romance went sour, a court has heard. They reportedly shacked up in the early 2000s. They married later married his wife Julie Chrisley.

Mark turned the Chrisleys into the FBI for tax fraud and explained to the jury that he was unwilling to spare details about his affair. Before testifying about the tax fraud, he had to tell his own wife about his affair.
An anonymous source later blackmailed Mark and Todd via text messages. They intimidated the two by revealing details about fraud and their relationship. The alleged texts said: “Pay cash and we’ll shut up”. The blackmailer received $38,000 which Mark withdrew from the bank in four $9,500 payments, before meeting Todd in a parking garage.
Mark testified that he paid the cash to Todd to pay the blackmailer. When Todd and his family were accused by the FBI of tax evasion, Mark wanted to help the Chrisleys because of his feeling for them. He then created fake tax documents for the reality stars and submitted them to banks and impersonated Chrisley in emails and phone calls, Insider reported.
However, their fallout led Mark to get back at Todd so he created fake email accounts to report the Chrisleys’ criminal behavior to government and news agencies. When Todd’s lawyer claimed he was obsessed with Todd, Mark denied all the claims.
Todd had previously opened up about his sexuality in 2017 and shared the rumors didn’t bother him. However, he didn’t deny being gay. “I’m flattered that people think I can get laid on both ends. So, so that doesn’t bother me. And my wife certainly is flattered that as many men want her husband as there are women”.
Todd and his wife are currently on trial for fraud and evading $2 million in tax fraud. Julie reportedly submitted a fake credit report and fake bank statements when trying to rent a house in California.
Bruce H. Morris, an attorney representing Todd Chrisley, said in his opening statement that the Chrisleys were victims of a man named Mark Braddock, who handled his company, Chrisley Asset Management, and did all the defrauding without the couple’s knowledge until they fired him in 2012.
He allegedly had a thirty percent share in the company.
