Even before joining Amazing Race 34, Milly Sinert (birth name Moon Hee Jeong) and Emily Bushnell (Eun Jin Jung) had gained their share of fame. The identical twins were born in South Korea. They were taken in by different foster families in Korea and later both girls were adopted by two different American families and brought to the states.
They never knew of each other’s existence. However, 23andMe brought them together once again after their DNA matched 36 years later. This bizarre turn of events was covered by PEOPLE and the magazine interviewed the girls in June 2021. Molly told PEOPLE, “Being with Emily is like looking in a mirror.”
Although hundreds of miles apart, they lived almost the same childhood. Both of them were raised in a Jewish household, worked as baristas in high school, and took dance lessons as kids. Molly shared that she had no interest in finding her Korean family. Molly did 23andMe because of health scarcity to investigate any genetic diseases that could be traced to her birth parents. Meanwhile, Emily sent her daughter’s DNA for evaluation.
Surprisingly, Molly received a message that she has a daughter and she and her partner shared no children.
Emily looked up Emily and found her long-lost sister’s work video which left her in complete shock. “It was like watching myself,” Emily recalls. “I was in complete shock.” Soon they realized that they were identical twins.
“I felt every emotion under the sun,” Emily says of reuniting with her sister. “All I wanted to do was hug her.” For Molly that the first hug was a relief “knowing we had the rest of our lives together.” “We have so much to learn about the lives we’ve lived,” Milly adds, turning to her sister and fighting back tears. “But I feel like you know me better than anyone.”

According to The Knot, they tied the knots on 24 October 2015 in Jupiter, Florida. Stephen and Molly were engaged for a year before they tied the knots. According to Heritage Florida Jewish News, Stephen proposed to her in August 2014.
At the time, they shared that the then-newly engaged had planned a fall wedding in 2015.
