Nikole Hannah-Jones and her husband Faraji Hannah-Jones met each other online in 1999 on AOL instant messenger. She used to get on the forum to chat at work and Faraji used to platform to chat with his co-workers. She saw Faraji’s profile and loved the name not knowing whether it was a name of a guy or a girl.
