Ira Savetsky first met Lizzy Savetsky back on October 15, 2004, at the RHONY star’s 19th birthday party. Falling for each other in one take, the duo then dated for 4 years before finally tying the knot on November 22, 2009.
Talking about their wedding, the ceremony was held in the ancient Hebrew tradition at the Historic Roosevelt Hotel. The wedding festivities began with separate cocktail buffet receptions honoring the bride and groom. And after witnessing the ketubah(marriage contract) at the groom’s “tish”, Ira was escorted to bless and veil Lizzy at the bride’s badeken.
Then followed a seated dinner where guests danced to the music of the Neginah orchestra.
