Jamie Lisa Lindler married Richard Harpootlian on October 19, 2007, in Venice. Franca Pasqualato. Their marriage was officiated by Franca Pasqualato at Palazzo Cavalli, the palace.
Her husband, Richard is a trial lawyer who had a chance to work as a state chairman for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign in South Carolina. A Clemson University graduate, Richard is the son of Joan Williams Harpootlian Morgan of Charlotte, N.C., and the late Harold C. Harpootlian.
Before Richard, Jamie was married to her ex-husband Reese B Pinney (born: November 1956). Reese is the co-founder and CEO of Gulf South Holding, Inc. and the President of Gulf South Operators, Inc. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Earth Sciences from the University of New Orleans.
Like Jamie, Richard was also previously married to his ex-wife, Pamela K. McCreary. Together, they share a daughter named Katherine “Kate” Harpootlian.

Thereafter, Katherine started teaching Improvisation Techniques, Body Alignment, and Contemporary Dance. But since the pandemic shut down much of the dance industry, Kate decided to take on a new challenge and enrolled at The New School. She graduated in 2022 with a liberal arts degree and a minor in film production.

Jamie Lisa Lindler was born to her parents, Charles Robert Lindler and Margaret Elizabeth Little Lindler. Sadly, both of them have long left this world.
Her dad, Charles passed away on October 14, 2019, at the age of 99. He was an honor student at North Georgia College who joined the US Navy shortly after Pearl Harbor and retired after 25 years of service in 1967 as a commander of Fleet Air Wing Eight at Moffatt Field, California.
Likewise, her mother, Margaret, who took her last breath on Feb 9, 2005, also spent much of her life in service to this country — mostly as a civil servant in naval communications during World War II. She was also a hotel owner who loved international travel and plant propagation.

Jamie Lisa Lindler is a lawyer who specializes in class action litigation in New Orleans. Her legal work has included serving in complex civil actions as a court-appointed Special Master to facilitate case resolution and working as a hearing officer for the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund.
Now, she serves as U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Slovenia. It was President Joe Biden who nominated Jamie for Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Slovenia on July 21, 2021, and she was officially sworn in as United States Ambassador on December 30, later that year.
Prior to this, Jamie served 17 years as a career judicial law clerk for the United States District Court in the Eastern District of Louisiana, New Orlean. There, she e advised on procedural, factual, and legal issues in litigation pending before the court.
Overall, Jamie has decades-long experience as an attorney in both private practice and public service centered on federal litigation. “My goal is to be a bridge to work every day to open avenues for working together and strengthening our partnership to support our common vision for peace, prosperity, and a healthier planet for all people,” Jamie said.
But despite her achievements, Jamie was more popular as Defense Attorney Richard Harpootlian’s wife. Well, given Richard’s reputation, one cannot even argue as to why? Richard’s a Democratic South Carolina state senator who convicted former USC President Jim Holderman on corruption charges and got the death penalty for serial killer Pee Wee Gaskins. He has even taken down corrupt sheriffs, police chiefs, and judges.
