As they wrapped up their first year as husband and wife in 2022, Laura took to her IG @lkhettiger to gush about how they have had an amazing life together — from fun trips to serving their community to figuring out married life to pregnancy to moving into their forever home when she was 35 weeks pregnant to welcoming their precious son. 2022, she said, was the best year of her life. Yet, the couple also had a very busy time that year. So much so, that they had their honeymoon (in France) even before they got married. When talking about her change of her daily schedule at KMOV recently, Laura shared that when her husband is on-call for a professional emergency, he sometimes has to leave in the middle of the night. That is why, she said, she realized that she could not also have a job that required leaving in the middle of the night, as that would leave no one to take care of their baby.
