Robert Charles Hunter is Diane Ladd’s third spouse. The two tied the knot on February 14, 1999, and thereafter lived as one blended family, with kids of their own.
Prior to Robert, the Chesapeake Shores star was married to William A. Shea, Jr. from April 1973 to 1976. And before him, Diane was in matrimony with actor Bruce Dern from 1960 to June 1969. Together, Diane and Bruce shared two kids — one of which, Diane Elizabeth Dern, (first daughter, born on November 27, 1960) tragically died at the age of 17.
Reportedly, Diane Elizabeth passed away 15 days after accidentally falling into the family pool and hitting her head causing a massive brain hemorrhage.
Diane and Bruce’s second daughter Laura Dern was then born on February 10, 1967.
Laura is also an actress like her mother who graced movies like Rambling Rose (1991), October Sky (1999), I Am Sam (2001) We Don’t Live Here Anymore (2004), Jurassic Park (1993), and Jurassic Park III (2001).
On December 23, 2005, Laura then married musician, Ben Harper. And together, they welcomed three children — Harper, Ellery Walker, and Jaya Harper.
But Diane isn’t just the grandmother of three grandkids. Infact, she is a grandmother to 10 — seven from Robert’s.

He started out working in his family business throughout high school and in 1974 he went to work at Frito Lay, a PepsiCo company. Soon after, he was then transferred to Pizza Hut headquarters where he implemented a consolidated distribution/services system that grew to a $4 billion enterprise.
In August 1997, he then retired as the president and CEO of PepsiCo Food Systems. And two years later started working as the CEO of Exxcell Entertainment, Inc.
Since then, Robert has sought metaphysical studies and began a journey of learning about alternatives to the world he knew and pursuing those that piqued his interest. Fortunately, on a road trip to Sedona, Arizona, Robert awakened his latent awareness of things unknown, broadening his world perspective and focusing on what it meant to be alive.

The first two, Origins and Energy were published in 2008, and the third was a work-in-progress then. In these books, he introduced concepts, enlightened readers, and lead skeptics down a path that can inspire further critical thinking.

As for Robert’s education, he graduated with a Liberal Arts degree from the College of Artesia in 1969. He then went on to do his postgraduate work at Penn State University in 1981 and also has a Doctor of Divinity degree from The Logos Center.
