Meet Tyson “TenZ” Ngo Dad, Thanh Ngo
Tyson “TenZ” Ngo was born to his father Thanh Ngo. Thanh’s most recent IG post is a father’s day lunch with Tyson. Although very few, Thanh’s most post is about foods.
On his Facebook, Thanh revealed that he attended Nanaimo District Secondary School. There isn’t much about his job yet. But, based on his recent Facebook posts, he has also started delving into streaming.
As for his family, Thanh has three brothers; Billy, Thi, and Bobby Ngo.
Bobby is currently working at Casino Nanaimo as Table Games Supervisor, Poker Supervisor, and Cage Supervisor. He graduated from the Vancouver Academy OF Dramatic Arts.
Billy is a software development engineer at Amazon.com since February 2020. He had previously worked at Google. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of British Columbia in 2014 and a Bachelor of Business Administration (General Management) from Vancouver Island University.
As for Thi, he is currently working at Great Canadian Casino. He previously worked at Ngo & Nguyen Contracting.
The four brothers were born to their father Hung Ngo. Hung Ngo is a native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, and calls the place his hometown.

Tyson “TenZ” Ngo’s mother is Valerie Turcotte.
Valerie talked to Nerd Street and gave a few insights about raising Tyson and her supporting his passion.
“I was really supportive of his gaming passion,” Valerie opened up not long after TenZ and Sentinels qualified for Masters: Iceland. “When he started to get older, as a teenager, he wasn’t out partying or drinking, he’s just gaming, so that was awesome … I was 16 when I was pregnant with Tyson, so I was like, ‘oh thank god for my kid’s nerdy, karma’s not a bitch.’”
Bringing up Tyson wasn’t easy for Valerie. “I was a young mom, I was a single mom, so I raised Tyson myself — I had a lot of family support. I have an amazing family — I have three brothers, there are three brothers on his dad’s side, there are grandparents, my parents, there was so much family support,” She explained, “I could work part-time and have my brothers babysit Tyson and still be a really active, full-time mom.”
She added, “When you’re a mom, on your own, you kinda give them everything they want. But he never took that for granted, he wasn’t a jerk of a kid. If he was a brat, I would have stopped doing that, but he was always so humble and kind and sweet, so I didn’t mind giving him everything.”
Valerie is proud of how far TenZ has come along. She is also proud that her son is currently dating and now engaged to his girlfriend Kyedae. She explained, “I have no more gaming advice for him, but if he ever needs Mom, I’ll always be there. He’s doing his thing. He has his girlfriend now in the gaming thing and that support, so they can tackle it together and be a power couple.”
“She defends him so mom can just sit back and watch,” Valerie told Nerd Street. “I’ll go back and forth, watching them stream, and just laugh at how different the streams are. I love their streams together. My evenings are free, so I just sit there and watch the stream. I love it.”
In 2022, Valerie is currently in a relationship with Chris Hide. They have been together at least since 2020.
As for Valerie and Thanh’s relationship they are still friends with each other. In fact, if you go through Thanh’s Facebook post, you can see Valerie playfully mocking her ex-partner. So, they are still in a good term with each other.
How Many Siblings Does Tyson “TenZ” Ngo Have?
It appears Tyson “TenZ” Ngo is the only child born to his parents. Based on his parents’ social media, he doesn’t seem to have any siblings.
