Meet Rob Tomson, Megan Thomson Father
Rob Tomson was Megan Thomson’s loving father. He took his last breath on March 27, 2020.
“I miss you so much already Dad and I will miss you every single day for the rest of my life. I promise to make you proud and be strong like you have been for all of us,” Megan paid him a tribute four days later on her IG. “Thank you for everything and you really are the best dad ever. You were so amazing and brave, always making us laugh, playing pranks on us.”
A few months after Rob passed away, Megan again took to her IG to wish him a happy birthday on July 8, “Happy Heavenly Birthday to my Daddy. I would give anything to have you back and to be able to spoil you on your birthday, or even just to be able to buy you a birthday card. Everyone says how proud you would be of me, but really, I am so proud to have belonged to you.”
Likewise, she often featured him on her socials to tell the world how much she missed him. Once, she even wrote words from the song “Dance with My Father” by Luther Vandross on IG featuring his photo followed by another captioned, “Grief is the price we pay for love.”
Her last post about him was made on March 27, 2023, where she mentioned that it had been three years since she last heard the voice of her father, but her heart still has ongoing conversations with them. It saddens her to think about all the moments they’ve missed in their lives. However, she has made a promise to keep their memory alive, finding hope in heartache, joy in sadness, strength in weakness, and love even in difficult times.
