Merlin Leon On Finding Magic Mike
The producers of reality shows are getting more and more creative these days. Do you remember the stripper Magic Mike from the hit 2012 movie of the same name?
Well, HBO Max has collected a bunch of handsome guys to battle (in stripper dance routines) each other out to become the next Magic Mike. That means they will win a huge cash prize and get the opportunity to perform on the Magic Mike Live stage in Las Vegas.
Matthew Merlin Leon is one of the ten contestants in the show. During an interview with E! Online, Merlin said that he had never done stripper dancing before and he had not even thought about doing it. So, when he auditioned he did not think he would get in but when he did, Merlin said, he felt “unstoppable”.
Merlin has some experience of dance before. He used to be a theatre actor and he has worked in musicals. However, Merlin said that the dance in musical theatre was very different from stripper dancing.
In the course of the show, Merlin has showcased his skills in fire spinning. He was also a good ukulele player.
Since the filming of Finding Magic Mike ended, Merlin has been basically “taking care of [his] body to be even better than [he] was on the show.” He has also been working on local films projects and theatre projects in Denver.
The other contestants in Finding Magic Mike are Austin Arizpe, Kevin Klass, Ricky Negron, Adonis Frank, Michael Thantrong, Ross Harris, Jiovanni Teheran-Jones, Johnny Dutch, and Nate Bryan.
Merlin Leon Family
Merlin’s father’s name is Matt Leon and his mother’s name is Seri Leon.
According to Matt’s Facebook, he is a “clown artist”, “origamist” and “writist” (we are as puzzled about “writist” as you are). He works at Clowns Around Town as “Yazzee the Clown”. He studied writing at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Seri is a medical professional and works at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She also used to be a Healthcare Account Specialist at UCHealth (University of Colorado Hospital) and as a Customer Care Representative at Anthem Inc.
Besides Merlin, Matt and Seri have a son named Josh Leon. A graduate of Community College of Aurora, Josh currently works at Urban Farmer Denver.
Apart from his parents and brother, Merlin had other family members named Joe Leon and Teri Leon. We do not know their relation to Merlin.
