But, here is a brief article about what we know at this time. Bare with us and keep scrolling down to learn more.
Morgan Nick Kindapping Case
Morgan Nick was taken from a minor league baseball game in Alma, Arkansas, at 10:45 p.m. on June 9, 1995, by an unidentified male. She had joined some pals to catch lightning bugs while watching the game with her mother. When she stopped to clear the sand from her shoes, Morgan was last seen standing close to her mother’s car.
“I remember standing outside the fire station on the fourth day and somebody saying to me, ‘It’s only been four days,’ thinking that was helpful,” Morgan’s mother Colleen Nick said in 2008.
Witnesses saw a man observing Morgan as she played with other kids in the park. A red Ford pickup with a white camper parked nearby that vanished at the same time as Morgan was also seen by the eyewitness. The camper was reportedly four to five inches too short for the truck, which has a small tire base and old paint and may be damaged at the right rear. It’s thought that the truck’s license plates are from Arkansas.
The man was described as being white, 6 feet tall, of medium to solid build, with a mustache and a beard that was an inch long. He was estimated to be between 23 and 38 years old at the time.
“Children and when I say children it could be teenagers, it could be younger children who were approached by a man in a red truck with a white camper. We believe someone knows who was at the ballpark that night and who was driving a red truck with a white camper,” Jeff Pointer Alma police chief said.
Morgan was around 4 feet tall, weighed about 55 pounds, and had blonde hair and blue eyes at the time of her disappearance. Morgan’s teeth were covered in five distinct silver crowns. She wore a green Girl Scout t-shirt, blue denim shorts, and white tennis shoes when she was last seen. Thousands of leads have been followed up after a thorough investigation, however, there are still no conclusive leads as to where Morgan Nick or her kidnapper may be.
Authorities have followed up on leads, gathered information, searched homes, and shared images of Morgan as she grew older. A $60,000 reward was offered by the FBI and local communities for the safe return of Morgan Chauntel Nick as well as the identity, capture, and conviction of the person or persons who kidnapped her.
FBI agents publicly identified Billy Jack Lincks as a person of interest in the investigation in November 2021 and requested the public’s assistance in learning more about him. After attempting to kidnap a child two months after Morgan Nick vanished, Lincks was found guilty of sexual indecency.
The girl said to police that the man made sexual advances toward her, offered her cash, and offered to pay her to board his truck and accompany him to his home. Police were called when the girl fled. A warrant for Lincks’ arrest was issued the next day after a witness reported an Arkansas license plate to the police.
A red 1986 Chevrolet Scottsdale pickup vehicle was investigated by investigators from various law enforcement organizations, and evidence was found inside. Blood was found on a portion of a seat inside the truck, per crime lab data. Hair samples were also found among the different objects that the investigators recovered. Lab workers discovered that there was insufficient DNA information in the blood and the blonde hair to make a sure match.
According to a recent documentary, law authorities also discovered blue-green cotton fiber in the truck’s metal parts and under the seats’ pad. Microscopically, FBI specialists were able to connect the fiber to a Girl Scout shirt similar to the one Morgan was wearing when she vanished.
Billy Jack Lincks was born and raised in Crawford County, Arkansas. Throughout the years between 1962 and 1974, he worked at Braniff Airlines in Dallas after serving in the Army during World War II. Sometime in the late 1970s, Lincks went back to Van Buren. He passed away in jail in 2000 at the age of seventy six.
Morgan Nick was taken from Alma, which is roughly 10 minutes down the interstate from Van Buren.
“Whether it was through school, work, church, or any social activity, we need information about Lincks and details about his entire life,” the press release read. “Remember, every piece of information about Lincks’ life is important – no detail is too small or insignificant.”
Morgan Nick Update: Is She Found Or Still Missing?
The story continues from there in the Hulu documentary series. The red truck owned by Billy was seized by the police. They inspected it and preserved it for a long time. It recently went up for auction. When police found it, they conducted another search of the car. Blood was discovered on the dashboard, and they also discovered blonde hair under the floor covering. Also, they discovered blue-green cotton fiber in the truck’s metal parts and under the seats in the mat.
Federal criminal labs received the items. Lab workers discovered that there was insufficient DNA information in the blood and the blonde hair to make a sure match. On a microscopic level, they were able to connect the fiber to a Girl Scout shirt similar to the one Morgan wore when she was abducted.
In April 2021, Still Missing Morgan, a documentary about her case, aired in Arkansas. It was created in an effort to generate fresh leads. It contained data and films that had never before been made available to the general public.
The Alma Police Department received over 300 leads as a result of the documentary, some of which were highly plausible and had never been made public. The documentary and the leads, according to Colleen, gave her hope that Morgan would be located. To give this case more publicity, there are also prospective plans to stream the documentary across the country.
The documentary also gave hope to Morgan’s mom Colleen.
Is Morgan Nick Alive Or Dead?
It is not clear if Morgan Nick is alive or dead.
Police were informed that Morgan was buried on property close to Booneville, Arkansas, in January 2002. They dug up the ground for several hours and included a police dog in their hunt. But there was no sign of her anywhere. Convicted criminals Tonya Smith and James Monhart were detained in June 2012 for computer fraud after attempting to pose as her.
Morgan’s birth certificate was among the important personal documents Tonya reportedly tried to get. Police, however, do not think they were responsible for her disappearance. Police were tipped off about Morgan’s case on December 18, 2017, and this led them to a property in Spiro, Oklahoma, 25 miles away from Alma.
Local police, the FBI, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation were all involved. An on-site well was the focus of the investigation when a cadaver dog pointed it out. Yet, despite digging and looking for several hours, nothing was discovered.
It’s interesting to note that the same home had previously been searched by police in 2010 in connection with Morgan’s case. It was said to have belonged to a man who had been a target ever since. He is presently incarcerated on unrelated charges, but he won’t talk about this case.
