Nora Caliguri Pagel On Project Runway All-Stars Season 20
Project Runway season 20 was different. Instead of following the usual order of calling in brand-new aspiring designers, the show bought in the past contestants from over the last 19 seasons. This meant tougher challenges, more drama, and of course a higher cash prize i.e. $250,000.
Our star, Nora Caliguri Pagel, was invited to the show, thanks to her participation in the inaugural season of Project Runway. “I had just graduated from Pratt at age 21 and thought trying out would be fun instead of getting a job,” Nora explained why she first joined the show
Unfortunately, Nora was eliminated halfway through season 1, coming in eighth after her wedding dress design failed to impress the judges. That season, Jay McCarroll was crowned top designer.
Over the years, the designer then stopped following the reality series. Not because she didn’t like it anymore, but because she didn’t have cable or the time.
So, being invited to the All-Stars season out of the blue was surreal for her. “This second chance means a lot to me because I am able to share a part of my 20s that my kids and husband had never seen. It’s also cool to be able to come back and update anyone who is interested in what I’m up to,” she shared.
Now, over 18 years older and wiser (since she first appeared on the show), Nora said that her approach would be to “take it all in and make the best of the experience.” In the past, her outlook was to “try my hardest and whatever happens, happens!”
But Nora’s fellow season one contestant, runner-up Kara Saun, who also joined the show, said, “Nora has not changed in 18 years!”

Nora Caliguri Pagel garnered a net worth of under $1 million by 2023.
A fashion designer, Nora still works at Authentic Lifestyle Products. However, instead of her former job as the Design Director, she’s now working as the company’s Creative Director.
Besides this, Nora also works as the Design Director at Lukka Lux, a premium activewear and athleisure brand.
Over her 2 decades as a designer, Nora has always found it hard to manage time. “I’m a creative director at a fashion company, I have young kids, and there is always a lot going on. So, getting to work on what I want to work on at the end of the day is tough,” she said. What kept her going, though, was acknowledging “how lucky I am to be able to be doing what I love for a living and using my talent.”
Her fashion icon is the late Virgil Abloh. “Every time I saw one of his runway shows, or when he would put out a furniture piece or brand collaboration, I’d think, this guy is just beyond creative. I love the smart details he always had,” she explained
So far, Nora has collaborated with major companies like Champion Athletics, Target, Kenneth Cole, and Kendall + Kylie. But she has yet to work for her dream client, her daughter. “I’m excited for when she gets to be a little older and I get to dress her and design for her. (That is, of course, if she’ll let me),” she said.
As for her education, Nora got her BFA in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute in 2004, a Graphic Design degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2012, and a Fine and Studio Arts degree from Paier College of Art Inc in 2000.

Todd is also a former councilman, still passionate about making Metuchen “the most desirable, sustainable, creative, walkable and bicycle friendly town in New Jersey.” He was elected to the Borough Council from 2017 to 2020 where he was responsible for adopting ordinances, resolutions, and policies for the Borough government.
