Producer David Pearce Charged In Death Of Christy Giles
In July 2022, producer David Pearce was charged with the murder of Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola. However, on his arraign which was set for July 11, the producer planned to plead not guilty.
“Mr. Pearce strongly denies any wrongdoing in these unfortunate deaths,” his attorney Jacob Glucksman explained. Also, the attorney added that it took the DA’s Office and law enforcement nearly a year to file the charges because the evidence was so “glaringly weak.”
But it wasn’t just David who was charged with the murders. Reportedly, actor Brandt Osborn was charged as an “accessory to the murders.”
So, what prompted the murder charges? Though unclear, there were reports that David was pictured partying with Hilda hours before her death. According to The Times, David and the women had met up at the warehouse party in LA that night, where Hilda texted Christys around 4 a.m. asking whether she wanted cocaine.
Later, the surveillance cameras at the warehouse then captured David leaving the party with the girls and two other men Brandt, and Michael Ansbach (who was not charged).
After arriving at David’s residence, the girls wanted to leave the place (which was evident by their texts and ordering an Uber). But the next time the cameras spotted them, Pearce was carrying Christy to his Prius and driving to a hospital, where she was left on the sidewalk.
So, in Dec 2021, after the shreds of evidence were put together, David was jailed. And this wasn’t his first encounter with the law, back in 2010, 2019, February 2020, and October 2020, the producer was also arrested for assaulting four women.
The last we checked, David was requesting the court to lower his bail to $3.4 million. Also, the producer filed a motion to have him released with a GPS tracker on his ankle
For those of you who missed the news, it was November 13, 2021, when Christy Giles was found dead outside a Los Angeles hospital and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola was drugged and left for dead outside the Kaiser Permanente.
Later, the reports stated that Christy Giles died from a mixture of cocaine, fentanyl, gamma-hydroxybutyric acid, and ketamine, while Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola died from multi-organ failure with cocaine, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy), and other undetermined drugs found in her system.
