N*ked and Afraid franchise, N*ked and Afraid Castaways, premiered on the Discovery Channel on 30 July 2023. The thrilling new series featured a group of nine survivalists deserted in the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, armed with nothing but wreckage as their survivor tools. Rachel Strohl, who we are going to talk about now, was one of them.
Rachel Strohl On N*ked And Afraid Castaways
N*ked And Afraid Castaways is not Rachel’s first time being on a Discovery Channel show. Before this, in 2021, was a contestant on N*ked and Afraid of Love. Freedriver Rachel was then one of 16 singles who starred in the show. The dating show was a twist that challenged her and the rest of the cast to find love in an island paradise while also going through tests of their survival skills.
Then, earlier in 2023, Rachel went again for a bigger test of her survival skills. She was this time paired with Na’im McKee (who also appears in the Castaways series) for an episode that saw them battling the elements in Argentina. Na’im went home early, but Rachel lasted the full 21 days.
This time too on Castaways Rachel seemed very excited about getting things right. For a while now she can be seen talking about it on social media. Just in July 2023, she talked about being very aware and nervous knowing that saltwater crocodiles lived on and around the island they were on. Gushing about other experiences, she enthused people to not miss the season premiere.

Then there is Paul Strohl, Rachel’s dad who at this point had been working in Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. He studied Medicine at Interservice Physician Assistant Program. On LinkedIn, he further mentioned being a physician assistant and retired Army Major with experience in primary care and trauma. Paul, who turned 53 in March 2023, and Angela are still together it seems.
Back in June 2022, Rachel was with her grandparents celebrating their 60th anniversary. Showing people “some gems” from her “Mamaw and Papaw’s” anniversary party, Rachel gushed about herself being a great believer in love and a bit of a hopeless romantic. Her “sweet grandparents”, she said, are a big part of the reason why. According to her they have been married for 60 years and are still madly in love.
As for siblings, Rachel has three sisters. One of them is Caitlin Samantha Strohl, the one who studied Pre-Physician Assistant at Murray State University. She turned 26 on 5 June 2023 and at this point, she had been calling Ewa Beach, Hawaii her home.
Other sisters are Erica D Strohl of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Latisha Hannaman of Tennessee. The latter has been a registered medical assistant (RMA) at Pain Management Centers of America since May 2020.

So, this person called Bryan happens to be working in the U.S. Army just like Rachel’s dad. On his FB, he further cited that he studied at Oak Harbor High School and comes from Oak Harbor, Washington. As of 2023 though, she had been living in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

By Discovery people, Rachel is also introduced on their show as a social media marketer and a free diving enthusiast, capable of diving 40 meters underwater in a single breath.
Most lately, on 4 July 2023, she, in great length, talked about having just recently struggled mentally after breaking her leg a few months ago and losing her mobility and her job as a result.
