MTV’s The Love Experiment follows three best friends going on a dating adventure together in the new MTV reality series. The show, which premiered on August 15 at 10 p.m., follows three single women from Atlanta, Georgia—Marcia, or “Mars,” a flight attendant; Paige Shari Addison, a management consultant; and Tamara, a flight attendant/entrepreneur—as they date potential partners from a list of 24 men.
“We’re big career women,” Paige told The Post. “We’re sisters and friends, we support each other. Yes, we have our friends that we can text or call after a date [outside of the show]. But having them on that journey with you while they’re going on their journey — you don’t really get that, ever.”
Paige said that she also liked being able to chat about the males with her friends while they were oblivious to the girls’ conversation because they were in front of them.
“We obviously don’t want to catcall. But when women are the ones doing it, like ‘You know what, he does have a nice six-pack,’ that’s fun because that’s the stuff as women that we do amongst each other,” Paige said. “To do it to their faces is like, ‘Great! I’m glad you’re here to see my reaction to you. As soon as I saw the rooms, I was like ‘Okay, little artifacts, I see a cross, I see a law book.’ We love to be our own little FBI agents if you will. What was great about getting out of the hall after seeing the looks of the guys was that we did get to peel back the layers and get to know them on close and personal levels.”
The three friends claimed that they had no reservations about having feelings for the same man.
The three women enter a “hall” in the exhibition where 24 single guys are set up like profiles on dating apps, each with an alcove filled with pictures and items that represent their hobbies. As the women essentially “window shop” for dates, they can talk about each man to his face because each male is wearing headphones.
