Celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, is taking cooking competition to a next level with his latest show, Next Level Chef. Hell’s Kitchen host made an enormous tri-level set with three kitchens stacked on top of one another for Next Level Chef — except there’s twist and the kitchens are set up in tiers of quality, with the top-level being a one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art kitchen, and the bottom one being a bare-bones kitchen. Roice Bethel On Next Level Chef
Next Level Chef premiered on January 2, 2022, on Fox Network to great excitement. Gordon Ramsay, along with the other two mentors/judges Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais, scoured the whole country looking at the best line cooks, home chefs, Internet chefs, and food truck owners to find the best 15 contestants.
“I am competitive, as you know, and it’s the first time in nearly 16 years that I put myself out there and am getting incredibly competitive alongside Richard and Nyesha, who are incredibly fierce,” Gordon told in an interview.
In the first episode, the 15 contestants were divided into three teams of 5 and then sent into one of the three kitchens by lucky draw. The teams in the top kitchen got to pick the ingredients of their choice from a massive table while the other two kitchens picked from what was left.
The dishes all the chefs made in the first episode helped three judges/mentors make their team. The judges tasted all the meals and then went round by round picking chefs they thought would be a great addition to their team. A few cooks completely stood out, with the one being Reuel, who went to the Team Ramsay.
