The Voice 2023 winner Gina Miles was raised by her single dad Ryan Galey in Paxton, Illinois. She grew up around music for most of her life because of her father who DJ’d every weekend. Gina requested assistance with her father’s concerts when she was 14 in order to become more involved with him.

Before she found out the results, Miles said her focus shifted from competition to celebration. “I really just want to celebrate with everybody,” she said. “It’s been a really long experience but one of the best times of my whole life. I want to celebrate. Because yesterday we were a little stressed. And today, I want to be more fun and relaxed, and just have a nice day. Probably going to eat pizza because I wanted to eat pizza last night, and I didn’t eat when I got back because I just wanted to sleep. So pizza today and party today.”
Gina gave a wonderful rendition of Sinead’s song, making Niall a jubilant coach. She and Grace West were left standing in The Voice’s 23rd season. Before announcing that Gina had won the competition, host Carson Daly said it was the narrowest margin of victory in The Voice’s history.
