Samuel Albert is Top Chef France season 10 winner. He won the show after doing three-quarters of the competition with chef Michel Sarran and later joining Phillipe Etchebest’s Brigade. “This competition was for me an extraordinary experience where I was able to express myself and introduce my cuisine to as many people as possible,” he said.
In total, he performed around forty tests with the greatest chefs in France, like Alain Ducasse, Pierre Gagnaire, and Anne Sophie Pic, to name a few. “I would like to thank them warmly for all their benevolent advice and encouragement,” he added.
Four years after his win, Samuel then returned to the show to compete with other winners from all around the world — 15 other Top Chef finalists or winners from 11 countries in the World All-Stars edition, to be precise. But unlike before, he had to leave his country as the show was filmed in London.
Top Chef season 20 World All-Stars was hosted by Padma Lakshmi and the judges were Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons who obviously were joined by jurors and chefs from the international Top Chef throughout the season
“I won the final in Paris, I have to win, I have no choice,” Samuel says in the trailer for the show.
Joining Samuel for the season 20th title were also his co-contestants Luciana Berry, Sara Bradley, Dawn Burrell, Ali Ghzawi, Tom Goetter, Nicole Gomes, Victoire Gouloubi, Charbel Hayek, Buddha Lo, Dale McKay, May Phattanant Thongthong, Begoña Rodrigo, Gabriel Rodriguez, Amar Santana, and Sylwia Stachyr.
Also, Buddha Lo, who won Top Chef season 19, came back to defend his title in the All-Stars series. At the time, he was working at a three-star Michelin restaurant owned by Gordon Ramsay.
