Who Plays Detective Scott Gordon On Hulu’s The Girl From Plainville?
Detective Scott Gordon of the Fairhaven Police Department served as the lead detective to investigate the death of Conrad Roy III in 2014. In the HBO documentary, I Love You, Now Die detective Scott Gordon. He shared that he and his colleagues collectively thought about why would an eighteen-year-old take his own life.
Scott got hold of Conrad’s phone and went straight into the messages and there was only one thread open, it was Michelle Carter. When he went through the text, he quickly realized that the text messages were disturbing in nature. He and his fellow detective Glenn Cudmore got hold of Michelle’s phone and extracted all the texts and voice messages.
Each of them grabbed a copy of the documents and went home and read a thousand. They came the next morning and looked at each other and said, if it wasn’t for Michelle, Conrad would’ve been alive.
“It was one of those things where you keep reading and it just keeps getting worse. And that’s what kinda put everything in motion,” Scott told NBC News’ Andrea Canning in an upcoming episode of Dateline: Reckless. Gordon, in addition to being the chief detective on the case, testified during Carter’s later criminal prosecution, describing how he found Roy’s phone and discovered their communications.
In 2022, the case of Conrad Roy III is brought to light with a new Hulu show The Girl From Plainville. In the show, Scott’s role is portrayed by actor Kelly AuCoin. Kelly is known for shows such as Billions, WeCrashed, The Endgame, The Bold Type, The Americans, The Blacklist, and several other TV shows.

In February 2020, Scott Gordon was promoted to the rank of sergeant. Police chief Michael Myers said, “It’s my pleasure to present him” for the promotion. He also added, “He will do a great job for the town and the department.”

Scott Gordon started his career in law enforcement in 1999. He served the town of Acushnet as a police officer.
Then, he joined the Fairhaven Police Department in August 2003. He was hired as a full-time police officer. Selectman Chairman Winfred A. Eckenreiter told, “I think he’s got an impeccable background. It certainly looks like he’d be a great benefit to our community.”
Scott filled one of the two openings filling on the force left vacant by the retirement of former Chief Edward W. Silva and the transfer of Officer Christopher J. Kershaw to a department in another state. Scott’s hiring was believed to save money because he worked as a full-time officer in the Acushnet Police Department.
Selectman Michael Silva was impressed with Scott’s educational background. He enrolled in Acushnet Police Department.
Scott has involved himself in homicide cases and also cases to dismantle drug networks. He has been an acclaimed patrol officer and also excelled as a detective for more than 10 years. Scott has done a remarkable and contributed as a school resource officer, patrol officer, and detective.

Whereas his son Cam told, “I’m happy for him.” He shared, “hard work he’s put into the job through the years.”
Taylor is currently working as the School Social Work Intern at Alfred F. Ford Middle School since September 2021. She also worked in Bristol County engaging youth in Preventing Opioid Addiction from 2017 to 2020. She is attending Bridgewater State University where she studies Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and is expected to graduate in 2022.
Previously, she attended Bristol Community College from 2016 to 2019.
