Shannon Nelson got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Brendan Hunt in June 2023.
Sharing the good news, she took to her IG to write, “We are a family. A beautiful wonderful family and will be for always. Some folks have assumed we had already done this, but truth be told we had other priorities in becoming a family. Now it feels right. I get to marry this beautiful man. I get to call him my husband and to be his wife and I am the luckiest.”
Likewise, the Ted Lasso actor featured his wife showing off her ring on his IG, and captioned the post, “The majestic @snoopshann, so rarely photographed in her natural habitat, captured here in the act of saying “yes.””
But this isn’t the first time, the lovebirds praised each other on their IG.
On Brendan’s 50th birthday, Shannon wrote on her IG, “He is bloody brilliant, insanely talented, always down to teach a game to someone who doesn’t know how to play or to evangelize on all things football and he is working his butt off to make beautiful things for us all to enjoy.”
She also added, “Getting to navigate this crazy world with him by my side is one helluva gift. Getting to watch him with our son, seeing their love, and knowing that our baby doesn’t even know how good he has it yet, is actually thrilling at times.”
Furthermore, Shannon’s happy to have Ted as the father of her child. “I am so excited to watch Sean discover every day what a jackpot he won getting you to be his Dad,” she said.

Shannon Nelson and Brendan Hunt welcomed their son Sean on January 23, 2021, at 10:32 am GMT, weighing 7lbs 1oz and 19.6 inches long. He was born after a 27-hour induction (labor) and finally via c-section.
Unfortunately, Sean wasn’t the healthiest child. “The inconvenient and near constant doctor visits, the pills the patches the shots, the hormones, the wait, the tests, the tears,” Shannon said. But through it all, she found the wonders of motherhood.
Raising her son was the best time of her life. “My gorgeous ginger love. You brought me treasures for the first time today and I was overcome with how lucky we are to get to be your parents. Hearing you say “mama” fills my heart to bursting,” she wrote on her IG.

Shannon Nelson is an actor. She started her acting career right after graduating from Minot High School in 1993, as “Traci Winder” in the TV Series Silk Stalkings. She then took a brief break to study BFA at the University of Minnesota and resumed her career in 1999 appearing in Drop Dead Gorgeous, and Emergency Room 2.
Thereafter, she went on to grace several movies and TV shows including ER (2001), The Practice (2003), Gold (2009), Alice and the Monster (2012), Pairings (2012 – 2014), Cannabis Moms Club (2016), Ruth (2020), and Ted Lasso (2023).
Also, Shannon was a part of the Sacred Fools Theater Company and Lucid by Proxy, a Theater Group.

Shannon Nelson Family
Shannon Nelson comes from a family of veterans. Her parents, Gloria and Wayne Nelson are both Air Force Veterans who joined more or less just out of high school. They raised Shannon and her brother while serving in peace times and during the first Gulf War. “I have seen firsthand the sacrifices that are made to serve and I am so grateful for all who do,” Shannon said.
Her mother Gloria, who turned 68 on July 31, 2022, spent the past t few years caring for her sister and her own mother.
As for her father Wayne, who turned 70 in Feb 2023, after retiring as a Deputy Director of Family Support at the US Air Force Retired, he went on to work as an Executive Assistant at Olmsted County Attorney. Now, he lives in Kasson, Minnesota with his new wife Kelly Battig Nelson.
Talking about her 2-year-younger brother, Scott Nelson is a Robbinsdale Armstrong High School and Minnesota State University Moorhead, graduate. He lived in Eden Prairie, Minnesota with his wife April Lynn @alynn0602 (born: Jul 1979), and their son Tyler Nelson.
Shannon is also close to her nephew Tylor, a published poet, a baseball player, a great student with some pretty impressive friends, a film and musical theater and really all-music lover, and a high school graduate headed to the University of Redlands.
