Shelby has been a part of the Memphis Street Outlaws crew alongside JJ Da Boss since October 2022. Since then and whenever the crew has been up against Big Chief’s Memorial Day Classic, the OKC No Prep Kings, or the Texas Outlaw Challenge, she has been present and ready to race her heart out. AKA Da Baby, Shelby has since then been a constant fixture on the show.
Viewers have loved to see her race on a powerful 1969 Camaro named Cuda that she built herself. Sitting it, she has already won JJ’s Armdrop Challenge not once, but twice. She has also won races at JJ’s Armdrop Gulfport Dragway, defeating JJ’s wife Tricia Wayne.
Together as racers that JJ and Shelby are very close. Shelby absolutely appears to have been taken under his wing when it comes to racing.
The most recent one of Shelby’s racing should be the one when she went head to head against Gary Danos on March 10-11th at JJ’s ArmDrop – Gulfport.

It seems that some fans have mistaken Shelby Lynn for JJ Da Boss’s daughter. But, the two are not related in any way.
Instead, Shelby was born to her actual dad Richard Morris Kendrick Jr., who according to his Facebook works at TN Air National Guard and as an aircraft maintenance manager at FedEx. Here, Richard also mentioned his former job as a crew chief in Air Force, and about going to the University of Memphis and Bartlett High School.
Shelby’s dad was born and brought up in Birmingham, Alabama and he was likely living in Millington, Tennessee with his wife/Shelby’s mom, Pam Cramer Kendrick as of March 2023.
It appears that Shelby got her racing genes from her mother who joined the racing industry on a part-time basis in 1986 and moved into a full-time position in 1988 at Dover Motorsports. In 2002, she transferred to Memphis Motorsports Park and later in 2011, took on the role of Vice President & General Manager of Memphis International Raceway under the new ownership group and was promoted to President in 2016. If she continued her career it was not further documented on her LinkedIn profile. Meanwhile, on Facebook, she introduced herself as a stay-at-home parent. Of course, she also mentioned studying at Smyrna High School and Business Administration at Delaware Technical Community College back in the day.
Both of Shelby’s parents love her dearly. “My purpose, My World, My Compass, My Gorgeous”, is what her dad often addresses her as in his social media posts.
Unfortunately, Shelby and her folks lost Steven “Stevo” Nicholas Kendrick on 27 January 2019. Steven, Shelby’s brother, was 19 years old. He was a baseball player, football player, duck hunter, and fisherman.
He was predeceased by his aunt Tracy Cramer, of Delaware, and his great-grandparents, Lillian Thomas, Vivian Evans, and Ellison Evans of Alabama.

Shelby Lynn has been a street racer at Streets Across America in Memphis, Tennessee since 5 October 2022.
Besides racing, Shelby is also known to be playing softball at her high school (Munford High School). For the 2022 season though she signed with Southwest Tennessee Softball, even when playing more softball was not in her plans.
Shelby was just wanting to stay healthy and complete her senior campaign with the Lady Cougars and new Head Coach Raygan Huffman. But, the games racked up and Munford started to post several wins, and she just got used to it. And so she decided to continue her softball career after high school also.
Southwest Tennessee Lady Saluqis’s head coach made her an offer and she signed her national letter of intent.
Back in 2018, Shelby’s older brother the late Steven signed with Southwest Tennessee Baseball. So, her going to this same place also felt special for that reason.
