Meet Shonda Stause, Chrishell Stause Older Sister
Shonda Stause is the older sister of Chrishell Stause who has been featured on Selling Sunset. While Chrishell has opened up about her adoption by her parents Jeff Stause and Ranae Stause, it remains unclear whether Shonda is the biological child of her parents.
Nevertheless, Shonda, along with her two sisters, had to bear the pain of losing both of her parents. Jeff died in April 2019 after battling lung cancer for five years. She took to her Instagram to thank everyone who reached out to the grieving family. In the post, she wrote that she was going to miss her father a lot, and knowing that he was at peace also brought peace to her.
Later on, her mother Renae was also diagnosed with stage-4 lung cancer in February 2020. And also she had only a few months to live. On 11 February 2020, Shonda’s sister Sabrina updated her followers that her mother had started her chemo. The situation became far worse because of the COVID-19.
Sadly, Renae also died in July 2020.
Right after the divorce, Chrishell Stause moved to her sister’s house in St. Louis which earned her praise from fans. After Chrishell’s bitter divorce from Justin Hartley, Shonda welcomed her sister in her St. Louis home. She picked her up at the airport and took her home.
Chrishell looked up to her sister’s family because of their bond. She shared during confessional, “They have been married so long and they have this beautiful family. I just think it’s really hard to be around because that’s what I wanted and that’s what I am realizing I don’t have, but it helps me be inspired to know that it might be out there. It just may take a different path than what I was thinking.”
Chrishell envisioned Shonda’s family as a touchstone in a more positive light.

Shonda Stause is happily married to her husband Chris Davisson (@cdavisson1). The married couple shared their wedding vows on 3 June 2000. On their 21st wedding anniversary in 2021, Chris took to his Instagram and wrote, “Happy 21st anniversary to this amazing lady…who will forever be my lovely bride. I love you @shonda95!”
Her husband, Chris turned 50 years old and celebrated his birthday on 8 October 2021.

Among them, their daughter Savannah is the eldest of four kids. Savannah was born on 27 February 2001. She turned 20 years old in February 2021.
