HGTV’s Home Town features husband and wife duo, Ben and Erin Napier, as they restore homes in Laurel, Mississippi. Every Home Town viewer probably remembers the moment when Ben and Erin transformed Shuff Mauldin cottage into something special (commonly referred to as The Mauldin House).

Shuff was featured on HGTV’s Home Town in 2020 one of the show’s episodes. He came to Ben and Erin to help him find his perfect new home in Laurel.
Shuff “needed a space that was the perfect size for himself and for accommodating guests, a large kitchen for entertaining, and a place that would be a great investment as his life grows and changes.”
Understanding Shuff’s requirements, Ben and Erin felt one of the cottages located in the middle of Laurel’s beautiful historic district was something Shuff was looking for.
Shuff has always recommended Laurel as a hometown for young people. He even said, “People need to see Laurel has single entrepreneurs who choose to call it home. I love to travel and this is one of the best places to do it from… This place is hip and people need to know it.”

A lot has changed in Shuff’s life since then. In 2020, Shuff was single and was not looking for a home to live in with his partner. However, in 2022, Shuff is married to a beautiful woman, who will talk about later in this article.
One thing that remains unchanged however is his job. The fifth-generation Laurelite was still working as an insurance agent in 2020.
Shuff Mauldin Career
Talking about Shuff’s career, he has been working as an insurance agent at Shuff Mauldin State Farm since March 2011. He worked hard to establish himself as a State Farm agent. As the owner of the agency, Shuff has got the freedom to be an entrepreneur and pursue ideas that get him excited.
His responsibilities at State Farm include recruiting, hiring, and training, assisting with complex financial problems and/or opportunities, and managing and growing a portfolio of real estate.
Furthermore, his Facebook handle shows that he has been working at Robot Vending, LLC since October 2017. Home Town star has also worked at Traveler as Bond Underwriter.
According to Shuff’s LinkedIn handle, his very first job was as an account executive at Stewart Sneed Hewes Insurance. He worked there from 2002 to 2004.
Shuff did his undergraduate studies at the University of Mississippi. He graduated from there in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management. Shuff completed his high school studies at R H Watkins High School.

Furthermore, Shuff’s Facebook also revealed that the two tied the wedding knot on September 25, 2021.
