Meet Trey Plutnicki, Player 301 From Squid Game: The Challenge
Trey Plutnicki and his mom LeAnn gave phenomenal performances which allowed them to reach quite further. Trey made an effort to make sure that his mother and he were guaranteed spots in the competition during his whole stay on the show. The two were generally on the same team and tried to support one another whenever they could.
But the notion that they would always support one another turned out to backfire dramatically in a way that neither of them had anticipated. You cannot ignore the ruthless aspect of the rivalry or the fact that Trey’s actions were greatly influenced by family love.
Trey expressed how much he loved his mother on several occasions during his tenure on the series. Not that he was ready to give up and fight for his position, but he did make sure LeAnn would not fall behind in forging alliances and understanding the mechanics of the game.

Trey Plutnicki Parents
Trey Plutnicki is one of the three children of LeAnn Wilcox and Ken Plutnicki. LeAnn met Trey’s dad Ken when she was working at The Miami Herald, in a pick-up basketball game — “literally and figuratively.”
LeAnn’s athleticism that she demonstrated in the show shouldn’t come as a surprise. She began by being the first female basketball player at K-State, going on to get a full scholarship, and pursuing a career in journalism that brought her to the New York Times. Her life’s journey has been full of “great turns,” as she called it.
LeAnn was born on April 12, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri. She grew up there, eventually developing into a star athlete at St. Mary’s High School in Independence, Missouri. She earned offers for what would be the first full-ride scholarship for women’s basketball at K-State and Kansas after being pursued by a number of colleges.
LeAnn chose K-State, where she played from 1976-80 in the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW).
After finishing up at K-State in 1980, Wilcox was drafted in the ninth round by the Milwaukee Express of the Women’s Professional Basketball League. Because of a history of knee injuries, however, Wilcox decided to move on from basketball and start her career as a journalist.
LeAnn said, “Cathie Burnes, who used to be a reporter at the St. Louis Post Dispatch and also at the Kansas City Star, she interviewed me when I was in high school, and I was so intrigued by her job and she explained a lot of it when she was sitting on my living room couch. That’s probably when I thought, ‘I think that would be a lot of fun. That would just be a really interesting job to have.'”
Ken is now 61 years old. He was a staff editor at The New York Times.
Moreover, Trey has two sisters named Alexandria and Emma Plutnicki. Alexandria is 28 years old (22 August 1995). She played women’s volleyball. She is now working at Google.
Emma went to River Dell Regional High School and Georgetown University. She also played volleyball like her sister.
