Verneashia Allen’s sole purpose of being on Ready To Love: Make A Move was to find a man who is generous, open-minded, a great conversationalist, and with a sense of humor. Before this, Verneashia attempted to do the same in Season 4 of Ready To Love but was unsuccessful. So, Verneashia decided to take one more chance and look for one, who in addition to being a God-fearing man is attractive, romantic, smells good, has a nice smile, has a good heart, is 5’10” or taller, a leader, great father, good communicator and an even better listener. She was also quite open about not wanting to deal with someone who has bad hygiene; smokes cigarettes, is a bad communicator, is mean, controlling, or has a big ego.
What Happened Between Verneashia Allen And Joel?
The Season 4 of Ready to Love documented Verneashia Allen gravitating toward Joel. Their endearing connection in turn had led fans to hope for a happily ever after. But, clearly, the duo parted ways eventually. The said season of the reality show, among other things, also saw Joel make his case for Verneashia. Viewers witnessed the two go on their last one-on-one date. They seemed to be going beyond their comfort zones to resolve issues between them. Joel, of the two, was even more over the moon that Verneashia chose him.
Talking about the affair later, after they were done, Verneashia candidly spoke about Joel downplaying their relationship on several occasions. She gushed how at one point, they were inseparable, woke up on the phone and went to sleep on the phone together, and how in no time, they were also over each other.

The now estranged husband and wife are believed to have separated after things did not work out between them. Verneashia’s mom Wanda Buster Laday is a nurse assistant at Gulf healthcare center. She studied Basic Medical Terminology at Galveston College from 1986 through 1983. As of 2023 though, she had been residing in Galveston, Texas while being married to Lawrence Laday. Lawrence, who has the same name as his late father, turned 49 years old in January 2023.
In her family, Verneashia has two brothers Gerard Allen of Rosharon, Texas, and Gerald Allen of Galveston, Texas. Also, among the two, Gerard is the owner/founder of Gulf Coast Alignments & ADAS and also the one married to Zelisha Allen.
Verneashia Allen Job
Verneashia Allen has been the owner of a salon called Spoiled Rotten Beauty Bar since September 2014. She claims this salon of hers is Pearland’s 1st and only one-stop-shop specializing in hair and makeup. Since 8 August 2023, Verneashia has also been working as an insurance broker at Financial Group (WFG). Here, she has been specializing in life insurance and retirement investment plans.
