The Bling Ring, aka Hollywood Hills Burglar Bunch, The Burglar Bunch, or the Hollywood Hills Burglars, were a group of seven teenagers and young adults convicted of multiple thefts. They broke into the homes of several high-profile celebrities over a period between October 2008 through August 2009. Over fifty homes were believed to have been targeted. Yet, much of the stolen property belonged to socialite Paris Hilton. The infamous group is once again a topic of discussion with the Netflix docuseries, The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist releasing on 21 September 2022. The three-part series sheds new light on the group’s motive to steal, insight from two members, Alexis Haines and Nick Prugo.
Audrina Patridge, whose home was robbed during the stealing spree, also appeared on the series to share how violating of an experience it was.
Where Is Nick Prugo Now?
Nick Prugo was the first of the group to be arrested and confess to the robberies. He pleaded no contest to the burglaries from Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge and served one year of his two-year in prison and was released.
Afterward, he revealed to HuffPost that he was immediately taking a lot of meetings with different production companies and was even in talks for a potential “reality show” which didn’t transpire. Why? Mostly because he found himself back in trouble with the law once again in 2016, when he pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of stalking. This strange case, according to Daily News, saw him being accused of having terrorized a Hollywood skincare guru and of attempting to hire someone to “rape her”. And since then, he was said to be applying for a rehabilitation certification and a pardon from the Governor. The judge apparently dropped the latter-related felony charge.
Also, according to US Weekly, Nick has been keeping an incredibly low profile ever since his most recent criminal conviction.
