She is said to have spent over 30 years in global and U.S. public health program management, training, advocacy, and community capacity strengthening. From Julian’s perspective, he grew up trying to fit in. He recalls today how he was half black and half white, too light-skinned for the black group and too dark-skinned for the white group.
